A while ago I hauled a bunch of makeup items from Korea to test. I finally decided try some of them out. =) I have two products to review today: Holika Holika Aqua Petit B.B. #1 and Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder. Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Review: Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Price: $12 Purchased from: Ebay Size: 40 ml Shade: #1 Packaging: Korean makeup is so darn cute. O_O I can’t believe I didn’t buy any earlier…how can I resist this adorable pudding/jelly shape that is this BB cream? The bottle is made from...read more
Yay! So I’ve recently become more interested in makeup! I’ve always been pretty lazy about my makeup outside of cosplay—it was day for celebration whenever I spent more than 2 minutes in the morning blotting my face with oil absorbing sheets before walking out the door…but that’s changed. ^_^ (It’s probably because I’m aging, meep! Must camouflage age lines with makeup!) With that, I’ve hauled some Korean makeup products, which I’ve heard are both affordable and good quality! Ta-da! Here are the products in order and the...read more
New circle lenses, yay! I’ll be reviewing Super Pinky Red circle lenses today. These will also feature in an upcoming cosplay, hehe. ^_^ Super Pinky Red Information: Usage: One Year Disposable Base Curve: 8.6 mm DIA: 14.8 mm Water content: 45% Photo taken during daylight. Again, these are only meant for cosplay. These eyes would definitely scare anyone in real life, lol. They are completely unnatural, but that’s the point. =) The Super Pinky brand is known for enlargement, and these are no exception—they are...read more
Here’s a review on Neo Glamour Gray! I got these awhile back because I wanted a vibrant gray color that would stand out on my black eyes. Most gray lenses turn a pale blue on me and make me look like I have Waardenburg syndrome. Neo Glamour Gray Information: Usage: One Year Disposable Base Curve: 8.6 mm DIA: 14.2 mm Water content: 45% I really like these lenses! =) They are super thin and comfortable to wear. These don’t enlarge much, which is actually a good thing; I’m pretty sick of circle lenses that make me look...read more
I’m reviewing Vassen’s Rainbow Eyes in Greenish Blue today. These are one of my favorite pairs! I wear them for normal day-to-day activities. Vassen Rainbow Eyes Greenish Blue Information: Usage: One Year Disposable Base Curve: 8.6 mm DIA: 14.5 mm Water content: 42% Photo taken during daylight. When it comes to circle lenses, it’s hard for me to pull off a “natural” look. My eyes are already large, so when I wear circle lenses sometimes it makes me look like an alien. I love these because they...read more
Circle lenses, yay – Super Pinky Violet Review! I purchased these a long time ago for my Homura cosplay. They turned out to be perfect! Super Pinky Violet Information: Usage: One Year Disposable Base Curve: 8.6 mm DIA: 14.8 mm Water content: 45% Photo taken during daylight. I think these are awesome cosplay lenses. Very bright and colorful. One thing that does bother me about the Super Pinky brand is that the lenses are huge! My eyes aren’t that big, and I feel like these cover too much of the whites. Despite that,...read more
Cosplay makeup (and makeup in general) clogs my pores pretty bad so I’m always on the lookout for exfoliators. I was at my local Asian grocery store and I wandered into the beauty isle and could not leave without this! A fruity jelly that gently exfoliates? CUTE! Detclear Bright and Peel comes in berry and lemon (there’s also an unscented version somewhere out there, but who cares?), of course I chose the berry. I wasn’t sure how to use it so I had to google it as soon as I got home. Apparent you just rub 1 or 2 pumps of the jelly goo...read more
